Dato’ Abdul Majit Bin Ahmad Khan was appointed to the Board of Directors on 21st March 2025. With a distinguished career spanning over 34 years in Malaysia’s Foreign Service, Dato’ Abdul Majit brings unparalleled diplomatic expertise and strategic insights to the board.

A career diplomat, Dato’ Abdul Majit served as Ambassador of Malaysia to the People’s Republic of China from 1998 to 2005, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting Malaysia’s interests across East Asia. His tenure also included concurrent accreditation to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), further expanding his influence in the region. Dato’ Abdul Majit’s diplomatic acumen has been instrumental in facilitating key initiatives, fostering economic partnerships, and advancing cultural exchanges between Malaysia and China.

In addition to his role as a former Ambassador, Dato’ Abdul Majit held senior positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Malaysia, Washington D.C., and Undersecretary of the Southeast Asia and Pacific Division. He also served as Ambassador to Nigeria, overseeing Malaysia’s relations with several key African nations.

Following his retirement from the Ministry in 2005, Dato’ Abdul Majit continued his advocacy for Malaysia-China relations as President of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association, a position he has held since 2005. He is also deeply involved in numerous advisory roles, including Honorary Chairman of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce and Cofounder of the Zhenghe International Peace Foundation.

At present, Dato’ Abdul Majit brings his wealth of experience to our Board, providing invaluable guidance on strategic decision-making and international relations. His leadership extends beyond diplomacy, with active involvement in business, academia, and thought leadership. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya, and has contributed to several important publications on Malaysia-China relations.

Dato’ Abdul Majit’s remarkable career, which has consistently bridged the gap between Malaysia and the world, positions him as a key member of our Board. His deep understanding of international diplomacy, coupled with his extensive network and global perspective, continues to shape and enhance the direction of our company as we engage in new global opportunities.
