Background
The establishment of the IMSC is situated within the Kuantan Campus of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Pahang. It operates as a Private Medical Specialist Centre, with a primary focus on providing specialized medical care to the public. IMSC is a fully authorized private medical specialist center, operating under the provisions of the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act of 1998 (Act 586).
Originally established as an outpatient clinic in October 2009, IMSC has since expanded both in terms of its physical capacity and the range of medical services it offers. Our commitment is dedicated to realizing our vision of becoming the preferred healthcare institution that specializes in providing sub-specialized medical care to the community.
On September 6th, 2016, IMSC proudly inaugurated its inpatient services, with the esteemed presence of Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais bin Yatim. This marked a momentous step in IMSC’s journey, as it expanded its service offerings to encompass inpatient care. This expansion has further fortified IMSC’s ability to offer comprehensive healthcare solutions to the community, with the valuable support of Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre@IIUM (SASMEC@IIUM).
