Dato’ Dr. Suzana Idayu Wati binti Osman was appointed as the Group Chairman of IIUM Holdings Sendirian Berhad on 5 May 2022. With over 30 years of experience in executive leadership and corporate governance, she is a highly accomplished professional with a distinguished track record across various sectors including food, agriculture, financial services, and institutional asset management. Her strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in the growth and transformation of numerous organisations within Malaysia’s corporate landscape.

She currently serves as the General Director of the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), where she oversees key national initiatives in land development and agricultural reform. Over the course of her career, Dato’ Dr. Suzana Idayu Wati binti Osman has held more than 40 board and advisory roles across a broad range of industries such as plantation, downstream agri-business, oleochemicals, consumer goods, logistics, technology, property, travel, fintech, education, and private equity. Her past leadership roles include serving as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO), Vice Chairperson of the Institutional Investors Council Malaysia, and Board Member of the Minority Shareholders Watch Group.

In addition to her role at IIUM Holdings, she currently serves on the boards of several prominent organisations. She is a board member of MSM Malaysia Holdings Berhad, where she also sits on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. She is also a director of Encorp Berhad, serving on its Nomination and Remuneration Committee. As a Public Interest Director at Private Pension Administrator Malaysia (PPA), she contributes her expertise to both the Audit and Risk Management Committee as well as the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Furthermore, she is a member of the Board Governance, Risk and Audit Committee and the Board Investment Committee at Felda Investment Corporation Sdn. Bhd., and serves as a trustee on the Board of Trustees of Yayasan FELDA.

Dato’ Dr. Suzana Idayu Wati binti Osman holds a PhD in Finance and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Studies from the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom, and completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School in Boston, USA.
