Puan Naaimah binti Mat @ Ahmad Radzi

Puan Naaimah binti Mat was appointed to the Board in 25th March 2022. She is a distinguished chartered accountant and seasoned professional auditor, amassing over 20 years of senior executive and general management expertise across both, the public and private sectors. Her remarkable career spans a diverse array of local and international environments, leveraging technology-driven methodologies such as data analytics, business analysis, and enterprise risk management systems.

Commencing her career as a scholarship holder at Maybank, she spent five years within the Maybank Group, overseeing consumer and commercial loans and gaining invaluable exposure to credit and financial analysis across various industries. Transitioning to the audit profession at Sime Darby Group after fulfilling her bond, she extended her expertise across automotive and industrial companies in the Asia-Pacific region.

Her noteworthy achievements include spearheading impactful data analytics and business process improvement projects within the group, significantly enhancing revenue and cost-saving measures. Her international involvements comprised significant roles in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong, China, and Vietnam, including a pivotal position within a special audit team collaborating with professionals from Germany and China at BMW Malaysia (Cyberjaya).

Puan Naaimah is currently the Executive Director of Finance for the International Islamic University of Malaysia, having previously served as the Director of Internal Audit since 2009. During her tenure as the director of internal audit, she has been appointed chairperson for the Council of Chief Audit Executives of Public Universities in Malaysia. Key milestones achieved included spearheading the adoption of data analytics at all public universities in 2010, the certification of quality assurance improvement programmes with the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (2013-2018) and appointment as speakers in conferences organised by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and forums in Singapore and Manila.

Puan Naaimah’s diverse leadership roles across the public and private sectors have equipped her with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her credentials include a Top Executive Programme from the University of Nottingham & AKEPT, a Master of Business Administration from the International Islamic University of Malaysia, a Degree in Accountancy from the University of Malaya, and a Chartered Accountant accredited by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
