IIUM Holdings Group Iftar 2026 Strengthens Unity

GOMBAK, 13 March 2026 – The IIUM Holdings Group successfully hosted its annual Iftar gathering, bringing together employees and senior leadership in a meaningful evening of fellowship at the Royal Banquet Hall, IIUM Cultural Centre.
The event was graced by the Rector of IIUM, Prof. Emeritus Datuk Dr. Osman Bakar. Also in attendance were Prof. Dr. Mohamed Aslam Mohamed Haneef, Deputy Rector (Research, Innovation and Development); Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzan Noordin, Deputy Rector (Student Development and Community Engagement); and Mir Azrul Shaharuddin, Director of the IIUM Endowment Fund. Members of the Board of Directors and the Group’s senior management were also present, reflecting their shared commitment to fostering unity across the organisation.
Quran Recitation, Aid Distribution and Tazkirah
The programme began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Ustaz Abdul Khair Jalil from the CELPAD Tilawah Division.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of duit raya contributions to 30 asnaf students from IIUM and the International Islamic College (IIC). The contributions, made possible through the collective support of the Group’s companies, were presented by Dato’ Ahmad Nadzarudin Abdul Razak as part of the company’s commitment to supporting student welfare.
In addition to the Iftar meal, guests attended a special tazkirah titled “Bringing Taqwa Out of the Mosque Into Our Offices”, delivered by Dato’ Ahmad Nadzarudin Abdul Razak. The session highlighted the importance of applying the values of taqwa in the workplace and professional life.
The programme concluded with congregational Maghrib prayers led by Ustaz Muhammad Ramadhan Subky from Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque, IIUM Gombak.
