Kuala Lumpur, April 2021 – We are pleased to announce that Daya Bersih has been awarded the MS1900:2014 Shariah-Based Quality Management Services Certification. The initial certification of MS ISO 1900:2014 to Daya Bersih Sdn Bhd took place on 31st May 2016 and renewal of the certification was on 15th August 2019.
MS 1900:2014 (Shariah Based QMS) is a structured system that assists organizations to deliver products and services that meet customers’ requirements and it aims to fill in the gap according to the ISO 9001 standard in relation to Islamic requirements.
Based on ISO 9001, the MS 1900 standard provides a framework for a comprehensive management system. The MS 1900 features Shariah components by taking into consideration the Shariah elements of ‘akidah’ (belief system), ‘akhlak’, (behavioural traits), and ‘fiqh’ (interaction with people, the environment, and religious observance).
To uphold this philosophy, we provide Taharah (Purity) and Nazhafah (cleanliness) based cleaning services with the following features:
- Segregation of dirt and impurities (najis) e.g., stools
- To ensure the places where Salah is intended to be performed and is purified from physical or imprinted najasah
- Separation of equipment to segregate the different nature of places with a colour-coding system
- The use of Halal-certified chemical/detergents
- We also provide additional services to conduct ‘Samak’ (a specific ritual purity to remove severe stools e.g., stools of pig and dog) once required.
From the management aspects, Daya Bersih Sdn Bhd also incorporates Islamic Values in its daily organizational business activities. Organizational values that are in line with the Islamic values such as teamwork, benevolence, striving for excellence, transparency, honesty, fairness, and tolerance are consistently promoted and cultivated within the company. Daya Bersih Sdn Bhd is monitored closely by a Shariah Advisory Committee to ensure implementation of MS 1900 requirements and to ensure that the values practiced in the organization do not contradict Islamic values.
