6 May 2024 – In a significant stride towards enhancing academic collaboration and enriching educational opportunities, International Islamic College (IIC) and City University Malaysia (CityU) have officially sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a momentous ceremony held at CityU campus in Petaling Jaya.
The MoU was signed by En. Shaik Faridhudheen Anverdeen, Chief Executive Officer of IIC and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosnizah Shaari, Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor of CityU. The signing ceremony was also witnessed by Prof. Datuk Dr. Roziah Omar, Vice Chancellor of CityU and En. Nik Mustapha Nik Mohamed, Chairman of IIC. IIC was privileged to have Dato’ Dr. Suzana Idayu Wati Osman, chairman and Dato’ Ahmad Nadzarudin Abdul Razak, Group Chief Executive Officer of IIUM Holdings who were among the honoured guests.
The MoU marked by mutual enthusiasm and shared commitment, sets the stage for a multifaceted partnership aimed at nurturing talent and advancing scholarly pursuits. At the forefront of this partnership is the establishment of an exclusive IIC Student Pathway to CITYU, offering a seamless transition for IIC graduates seeking to pursue their academic aspirations in diversed undergraduate disciplines at CityU.
Beyond academic pathways, the collaboration encompasses a spectrum of initiatives designed to broaden horizons and cultivate a culture of innovation. A cornerstone of this endeavor is the Student and Staff Exchange Programme, facilitating immersive experiences and fostering cross-cultural understanding among the academic community.
