Gombak, 11 September 2024 – The Gombak Health District Office conducted a food safety awareness event at the International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM) on Wednesday, held at the ISSB Multipurpose Hall. The session, running from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., brought together students from IISM Primary, Secondary, and A Levels.
The event was led by Pn Azura Liyana, a Food Technology Officer from the Gombak Health District Office. She provided valuable insights into the importance of proper food handling, hygiene practices, and how safe food preparation can prevent contamination and promote overall health.
Through interactive discussions and practical demonstrations, students learned about key food safety practices essential for maintaining a healthier lifestyle. This initiative underscores the significance of food safety education, especially among the youth, to foster a culture of health and safety in their everyday lives.
