Strategic Collaboration: IIC and UniSHAMS Partner to Expand Academic Pathways

KUALA LUMPUR – International Islamic College (IIC), a subsidiary of IIUM Holdings, has officially formalised a strategic collaboration with Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah (UniSHAMS). The partnership was sealed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held at the IIC Campus today.
The MoU was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of IIUM Higher Education Sdn Bhd, Encik Shaik Faridhudheen Anverdeen, and the Vice Chancellor of UniSHAMS, Prof. Dr. Mohd Amy Azhar bin Dato’ Hj Mohd Harif. This strategic collaboration marks a significant step in expanding the range of accredited academic programmes available at the college.
A primary objective of this agreement is the collaboration in offering UniSHAMS programmes at IIC. This initiative allows IIC to deliver academic programmes under the UniSHAMS curriculum, providing students with more diverse educational options. Additionally, the partnership establishes a structured academic pathway for IIC students to advance into UniSHAMS degree-level programmes with seamless credit transfers.
The ceremony was witnessed by senior leadership from both institutions, including representatives from the UniSHAMS Registrar’s office and the IIC College Management Committee. This strategic collaboration is expected to take effect in the upcoming academic intake, further strengthening the educational ecosystem within the IIUM Holdings Group.
