On April 4th, 2024, the Senate Hall of the International Islamic University Malaysia was abuzz with intellectual discourse as International Islamic College (IIC) hosted a compelling Sharing Session on “Unbundling Education, Uncertainties in Higher Education: Rising to the Challenges.”
Led by Prof. Emerita Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail, the session delved into the profound impacts of post-normal times on higher education. The participants included IIUM Holdings Group CEO, Dato’ Ahmad Nadzarudin Abdul Razak, En. Shaik Faridhudheen Anverdeen, CEO of International Islamic College, IIUM Holdings’ Corporate Heads, CEOs, top management members of IIUM Holdings Group of Companies.
Key topics discussed included global trends in shaping the future of learning, national issues and challenges threatening educational institutions, and strategies to navigate uncertainties in higher education. The event provided a platform for insightful dialogue between Datuk Dr. Asma with the participants, aiming to chart a resilient and innovative path forward for higher education.
The session underscored the importance of adaptability and forward-thinking in addressing the evolving landscape of education, reaffirming the commitment of stakeholders to empower higher education professionals with the tools needed to address future priorities in higher education and acknowledging that the traditional status quo is no longer sustainable.
